The division of Institutional Advancement serves the University by initiating and collaborating on projects designed to advance the imperatives of Excellence, Engagement, and Expansion delineated in Momentum 2020, the president's blueprint for the University's growth over the next several years.
Institutional Advancement encompasses the activities of the Marketing Department, the Communications and Public Affairs Department, the Development Office, Alumni Relations, Corporate Relations, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Foundation, Advancement Services and Athletics.
Primary among our goals is to advance the University's mission to be South Texas's premier four-year institution. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi receives approximately 36% of its annual budget from the State of Texas. With a staff of more than 50 employees, Institutional Advancement serves to enhance the budget with self-generated support.
Through projects connecting the University to the outside community, including Public Affairs and Marketing campaigns, Athletics events, and Alumni gatherings, Institutional Advancement maintains relationships with people, organizations, and companies who can support the University in its goals to flourish as a top research institution in the state.
