I am a former animal trainer, former communication graduate student, former Director of Development and a constant goal conqueror! I have held many different jobs in the past and I am excited to be able to use my unique experiences to help shape communications at Texas A&M-University-Corpus Christi. As the Communications Manager, I will focus on strategic communication planning for the department and helping to communicate the amazing scholarly activity that happens on campus.
A native of San Marcos, Texas and first-generation college graduate, I came to the Island University in 2005. I proudly earned my Bachelor of Science in 2009. After spending time in the workforce, I decided to give myself some new goals and successfully obtained a Master’s of Arts in Communication in 2016.
When not working, I enjoy setting new goals to conquer, watching foreign films on Netflix, and spending time with my husband Brian. Brian, who is also an Island University Alumnus, and I are the proud parents of a yellow lab named Amber and a pug named Sir Alex Norton.
