I administer all divisions' finances, which include the departments of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs, Advancement Services, Development, Institutional Advancement and assist the Associate Athletic Director with Athletics accounts. I work with the divisions' accounts to identify and research budget or expense-related discrepancies and work with Assistant VP's and department managers for resolutions. I exploit the University's network software systems to oversee each department's finances by means of checks and balances for accuracies, prepare purchase orders, and process invoices for payments. I also initiate department's fiscal reports and follow progress for all budget accounts. I collaborate with managers and staff to ensure each department monitors and maintains their fiscal integrity and enter new hire information and verify the accuracy of the Divisions employee payroll and student worker TimeTraq systems. I maintain the records for the purchases associated with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Sponsorship social events and speaking engagements. As the Business Manager, additional services are provided directly to support the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

I've been employed at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi since 2001. Employed by the University, I have worked for the Bursar Office in the Business Office as a cashier/phone bank representative, and as an Accounting Assistant III for the Accounts Receivable department where I worked on collections and outstanding tuition payments. I worked for the Office of Admissions and Records as a Business Support Specialist I where I prepared and processed purchase orders and researched budget and expense related discrepancies before taking on my present position as Business Manager for Institutional Advancement.

Additionally, I actively manage and conduct the daily operation of my family businesses; Padre Island Palms - a nursery palm tree farm which proudly boasts a palm specimen entry into the Smithsonian Museum, and MacDonald Properties real-estate rental properties.
