Parents' Council

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Parents’ Council is a group of committed Islander parents who enrich the college experience for students through generous donations.  Parents’ Council provides funding for student travel to academic conferences, workshops & research opportunities regionally, nationally & internationally.  Students’ classroom experiences are enhanced with the opportunity to participate in these extra-curricular academic offerings.  The Parents’ Council helps Islander families stay connected, well informed and engaged in the academic lives of students.

This giving society makes possible opportunities for students that build upon their academic strengths and practice what they learn in the classroom.  Often funding can fall short to pay the costs of students to attend national conferences, compete in regional and national events, and travel to engage in academic research.  Parents’ Council funds provide unrestricted dollars that can meet the most pressing needs of students.  Also, support from Parents’ Council gifts are seen in maintaining state-of-the-art facilities, providing mentoring and tutoring labs, and purchasing the latest technology equipment.
