A Little Bit About SFA

Our Mission:

Student Foundation Association is dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships by volunteering at events that promote philanthropy through education, student leadership development, campus pride, and alumni involvement.

Our Purpose: 

Student Foundation Association raises money for a student scholarship endowment that recognizes student leaders at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and gives them the opportunity to pay for their tuition through varies events such as “Islander Revue”, “Go Blue, Give Green”, and the “Walk of Recognition.”

Our Focus:

Student Foundation Association is looking to make a difference at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi by educating current students on the benefits and importance of giving back to their university. Student Foundation Association Board Members are given the tools for a successful life after college by means of participating in volunteer events that allow them to gain profession and career building networking opportunities. Student Foundation Association is the bridge between the student body of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and the Islander Alumni Association. We seek to keep this relationship between organizations strong for future philanthropic endeavors. 

Who is eligible to join Student Foundation?

Membership into Student Foundation is reserved for student leaders who are sophomores through seniors and graduate level students. Students seeking membership must have a GPA of at least a 2.5 at the time they submit their application. Membership is available to online/distance learning students as well.
